Vision

Serendipity Academy believes learning is maximized when it takes place in an environment enriched with highly qualified staff who share a passion for teaching and learning. We celebrate the pursuit of lifelong learning and are committed to nurturing high self-esteem and respect for others. We believe that the overall development of the student is fundamental to their success and their future. Our school provides a safe, caring and supportive environment for all students and encourages parents and community members to be actively involved in our students' learning.

History

Serendipity Academy at the Lodge is an extension of Serendipity Children's Center, a premier early learning facility since 1985, located on the same campus as the Academy, on Tumwater Valley Drive in Tumwater, Washington.

Serendipity Academy began with one small kindergarten class in 2000. In the summer of 2011, owners Dan and Lynnette McCarty purchased the building and surrounding property known as “The Lodge” and expanded Serendipity’s educational opportunities to include private education. The Academy opened its doors on September 6, 2011, with a state-approved elementary program offering kindergarten through sixth grade.

Our early education facilities start with children at age six weeks in The Playhouse, located in
our red schoolhouse at the back of The Valley property, and continues with ages 2-5 at the Main Center in The Valley Athletic Club.
